Celebrating Women Artists

I have been slowing acquiring a small collection of pottery from ceramic artists I have met visiting my store or curating at weekend markets upstate and in the city. Since I have such a small space I cannot offer a large inventory of pieces yet I cannot resist all.

A customer of mine does the ceramic show at the 92nd Street Y. I have a few of her sweet little vases included as part of my tiny ceramic inventory. I decided to visit again this year. I am aiming

to attend the opening reception. Do they have wine? :) My customer’s name is Valerie Leeds and she will be exhibiting some beautiful pieces. Visit their site for more info. https://www.92y.org/Ceramics85

My second in-house artist is Liberty Valance. A whimsical potter who creates bowls, plates and mugs decorated with scenes from her window. Overlooking a marsh, Liberty can offer a never ending grab bag of nature’s creatures along with beloved household pets. Liberty’s work can be seen this December at the Brickhouse Holiday Sale. More info visit their website. http://www.brickhouseny.com/events.

The third In House Artist I have curated  is Meadow. JUST...Meadow. I discovered  her pieces upstate a few weeks ago. Sweet little ball finger bowls and textured plated created from fabric imprints. Great gifts all of these. Meadow is showing at The Hebrew Union College from now till the end of June 2016. Evil: A Matter of Intent. More info visit their website.
